How Much Does a Tanzania Safari Cost?

Real numbers from our own itineraries, per person — no fine print, no generic agency estimates.

Short answer: a private Tanzania safari with Destiny Winners starts from €950 per person for a 3-day route, and can go above €2,750 per person for our most complete 6-day routes. The final price depends mainly on duration, accommodation, and whether you add a Zanzibar beach extension.

Below is the real breakdown of our routes, what each price includes, and the factors that move it up or down.

Longer itineraries and combining with Zanzibar

We don’t publish a fixed price for routes of 7 days or more, or for special combinations, because each one is built to measure around parks, accommodation and dates. What we can tell you upfront: extending any of our routes with a few days on the beach in Zanzibar is one of the most requested combinations, and it’s quoted separately depending on the hotel chosen and the number of nights.

What actually moves the price

Trip duration Number of travellers Season (high or low) Parks included Accommodation category Private vs shared vehicle National park fees Zanzibar extension

Accommodation is usually the single biggest factor: the same itinerary can vary considerably in price depending on whether you choose mid-range camps or luxury lodges inside the park itself. Season matters too — July to October and December to March (high season) tend to carry higher accommodation rates than April–May or November.

Private vs. group safari

Why a private safari doesn’t always cost the same

On a shared safari, you travel with other people you didn’t choose, on a fixed itinerary. On a private safari like the ones we design at Destiny Winners, the vehicle and the guide are yours alone, and the pace of the trip adapts to what you actually want to see. The price difference isn’t always about the final number — it’s about what’s included, and how much the itinerary can genuinely flex around you.
